Ceremonies
If your warrior is becoming an elder or a leader, or your apprentice is becoming a warrior, or your kit is becoming an apprentice, come to this commenting arena on the topic and we will RPG a ceremony!
Copperstar took a deep sigh and leapt up onto the highrock in the edge of the clearing. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, please gather beneath the highrock for a clan meeting!" Silently, cats streamed out of their dens to settle beneath the highrock. At the bottom of the highrock sat Thunderblaze. Next to her was a small tortoiseshell kit.
Copperstar beckoned with her tail for the kit to come up on the highrock, and reluctantly the tortoiseshell followed. "As you know, today is a very special day for Patchedkit, and by naming apprentices, it shows Solarclan will remain strong. Patchedkit, from now on until you have your warrior ceremony, you will be known as Patchedpaw. Thunderblaze, you are ready for an apprentice. You will be Patchedpaw's mentor. I know you will pass on your wisdom, strength, and spirit to her, and teach her the skills that will make her a great, noble warrior of Solarclan." Thunderblaze beamed in front of the grinning crowd of cats, and touched noses with her new apprentice. "Patchedpaw! Patchedpaw!" the clan started chanting, and they welcomed her as a new apprentice of Solarclan.
Copperstar flicked her tail to silence the crowd. All eyes were on her. "Today, we have another ceremony to announce. One of our queens told us that her oldest kit is now six moons old. Whitekit, please accept the apprenticeship of Solarclan." Whitekit raised her tail high and trotted to the front of the crowd. "I accept this apprenticeship, Copperstar." She grinned at her younger siblings. "Then I say these words before Starclan! From this day until your warrior ceremony, you will be known as Whitepaw. I will be your mentor. Solarclan honors your choice to apprentice, and we welcome you to the apprentice's den." Copperstar bounded off the highrock and touched noses with Whitepaw, then bounded back up the highrock. "One more ceremony!" Copperstar cleared her throat and looked through the clearing, over at Flamepaw, who was sitting beside his mentor, a big black and white tom. She fixed a hard stare on him. He looked up at her and she signaled her tail. His mentor excitedly looked up at the clan leader. "I, Copperstar, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and we commend him to you as a warrior in turn. Flamepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and defend your clan even at the cost of your life?" Flamepaw gazed at his leader with respect and murmured, "I do!" He bowed his head to the leader. "Then by the power of Starclan I give you your warrior name. Flamepaw, from now on, you will be known as Flamefur. Starclan honors your skills, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Solarclan." Flamefur bounded up to the top of the highrock, and Copperstar rested her muzzle onto his head. In respect, Flamefur licked her shoulder, and raced into the crowd. "This meeting is over!" Copperstar announced, leaping off the highrock. The clan chanted Flamefur's new name.
